Adams, the Manager of the Mouse Mountain RV Trailer Park on Osceola Polk Line Rd and employee Mark S. Morgan are facing felony charges of animal cruelty after a stray cat was beaten to death with a brick in front of several witnesses.

Adams, age 53, turned himself into the Polk County Jail in Bartow, FL.  Morgan, age 44, was arrested at the mobile home park on June 28, 2006.

Adams said the cat was terrorizing the neighborhood and he had to get rid of it.  Adams disposed of the cat's body in a retention pond and it has not been found.

Some of the other witnesses have also reported being threatened by Adams.  Some have even purchased Tasers because they are afraid of Adams.  One resident, who's dog disappeared believes Adams shot his dog.

After reviewing the witness accounts, the State Attorney's Office decided to upgrade the charges from a misdemeanor to a felony.
